The Milford Kiwanis Club's "Random Acts of Kindness Program" provides Meijer gift cards to the Milford Police Dept, the Milford Exempted Village School District & the Miami Twp. Police Dept. as they are able to see a need and fill that need immediately. This allows the Milford Kiwanis Club to serve children in our community 24hrs per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Thank you to Kiwanis member and Milford Police Sgt. Paul Lane, pictured above with Chief J. Mills, Superintendent Speiser & Chief M. Mills, for delivering the gift cards this year.

Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation had recently created a new grant called Kiwanis Aid, Relief, Economic Security (KARES). This grant was created due to the local clubs having a hard time to raise funds during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Milford Kiwanis was awarded $1000.00 to put towards their eye exam/eyeglasses program for students. Milford Kiwanis, along with their partners, Dr. VanDerPloeg & Associates, LensCrafters and Luxottica, provide students in need of eye exams and glasses at no cost.
Thanks to the KARES grant we will be able to continue this program throughout the year!

Milford community members providing food/toiletries and resource information to students that experience food insecurities in grades 7-12 Kiwanis in Milford
This program started because we found there was a need to provide an extra source of food to the 7-12th graders within the Milford School District that may suffer from food insecurity; meaning they don't have reliable access to enough affordable, nutritious food. Food insecurity can lead to the obvious issues related to education like poor attendance, lower grades/test scores, but can also very easily lead to a teenager making poor decisions with the hope of getting a meal out of it.
We need donations... Check out their Facebook page at Feed our Flock. you can find out what items are needed and where to drop off your donations.
You can contact Feed our Flock at firstname.lastname@example.org
Milford Kiwanis Club donated $800 to fund shelving for the new pantry at the high school. They are ready to be filled! Contact Feed the Flock to see how you can help out.
